Microgreens
Microgreens are sprouts gown to past the initial sprouting stage into very young maturity.
All my microgreens are grown in the highest quality organic rich soil. There are no harmful pesticides just soil, seeds, water and love.
The advantage of microgreens to a full grown green is that they are packed with nutrition and bursting with flavor. Seeds have enough energy stored in them to last for 12 days. This is what brings them back to life after being dormant. Imagine the amount of energy that is occurring when a tiny seed comes to life…..you are eating this with the added nutrition of some good organic compost and soil.
- Sunflower Sprouts: these delicious little sunflowers are grown for the sprout. They go delicious in salads, sandwiches or a garnish on a fancy dish or cold soup.
- Arugula: miniature arugula sprouts are bursting with a live peppery flavor. A little bit of these go a long way and will add a spike to anything you are creating; try mixing it in to a sauce.
- Radishes: All microgreens, especially radish sprouts give you that variety’s flavor without the intense aftertaste ; also great as a garnish
- Mustard: a great alternative to brown or yellow mustard--try green mustard; it is HOT!
Also broccoli, tatsoi, buckwheat, lettuces and micro herbs.
